Mich. cuts may impact police, roads, college costs

City and township officials, university leaders and state department heads began bracing for another round of painful cuts Thursday, because Michigan\'s budget is more than $400 million out of whack. The potential impacts on Michiganians include higher college tuition, fewer police officers on patrol, more potholes on local roads and further reductions in Medicaid services to the poor.
